Strengthening Law Enforcement Capacity, Dar es Salaam, March 2025

Twenty-eight officers completed “Strengthening Law Enforcement Capacity in Investigative Techniques and Port Security to Combat Transnational Organized Crime” in Dar es Salaam, 24–28 March 2025: seven from Malawi, eleven from mainland Tanzania, two from Zanzibar, six from Zambia, and two representing the Lusaka Agreement Task Force in Tanzania and Kenya.

The training was opened by Tanzania's Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, the Director of the Lusaka Agreement Task Force, and ATI's Chairman. Participants worked in four groups on a practical transnational organised crime investigation and presented their case reports on the final day.

In the course evaluation, 92% of respondents (24 of 26) said the training fully met their expectations. A follow-up practitioner group was established for continued mentoring and information sharing.
