Accessibility Statement

This website is built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Specific measures include:

• Semantic heading structure on every page, with one h1 per page and no skipped levels.
• A keyboard-equivalent alternative to the interactive map: a full, structured country register listing every confirmed location.
• Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements, using a high-contrast ring that adapts on dark surfaces. Focus is never hover-only.
• Touch targets of at least 44×44 px throughout, including navigation, buttons and form controls.
• Text alternatives for all photography.
• Text contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body copy and small labels. The gold accent is used at a darkened value for small text on light backgrounds, and a lightened value on dark backgrounds.
• All motion respects the prefers-reduced-motion preference. There is no parallax, no scroll hijacking, and no content that depends on animation to be understood.
• No essential information is conveyed by colour alone, and no essential text is embedded inside an image.
