Over three consecutive documented days in July 2024, women participants in ATI's livelihood programme produced eco-briquettes from charcoal and biomass waste.
The photographic sequence follows the process: raw biomass material, hand-forming and processing, and the finished briquettes held up by the production team in ATI-branded shirts.
Eco-briquettes substitute for wood charcoal, reducing demand pressure on forests while creating a sellable product. The three-day workshop was held in Singida, Tanzania.
